A FEW OF BRODY’S FAVORITE THINGS

De WafelBakker's Pancakes...he can eat 2 of them (along with his fruit) for breakfast (they are pretty small though) and I can only find them at Walmart (which is my favorite grocery store to shop at) He loves the Organic Blueberry and the Cinnamon Sweet Potato! YUM!

YoBaby Yogurt...it is a breakfast staple and he gobbles it up...Raspberry Pear, Strawberry Banana, Apple, Mixed Berry, Blueberry...he loves them all! I love that they are made with whole milk for him! (peyton loved these things also)

and now they have the new yogurts mixed with fruit AND a veggie which is perfect for my little stinker who don’t like his veggies very much! : )

Praise Baby... I'd like to kiss the person that came up with this concept! He has loved it since he was tiny and the music isn't annoying for us! I know that I have a good 20+ minutes to get something done when I push play on this. I need to find more of them!

Mini Animal Crackers...this is what typically goes in the snack tower (below)...and Brody has no problem eating the whole container full! These are so cute, so tiny, and so yummy. I even sneak one every now and then. (And, I can only find them at Babies R Us)

baby goldfish crackers: another tiny and wonderful little snack. We've bought many bags since brody started snacking. I love how tiny they are … just perfect for his little mouth and wont choke him!

Banana’s … hands down his favorite fruit!

On the Night You Were Born book: We bought this book for his 6 month Birthday, and he loves to listen to us read it to him!

book

Playtex sippy with straw:  little man didn’t know how to drink out of a regular sippy for awhile, but he did figure out how to use this straw… so this has been one of his favorite sippy cups!

The Remote...we gave him his own (an old one that has no batteries) but he knows the difference..toot!

Munchkin Snack Tower: This is actually probably one of mommy’s favorite items, but because brody knows whats in it and he’s all about snacks….its one of his favorites also. we keep this in the diaper bag filled with all his different snacks! : )

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: we have been recording these shows on the dvr for months now, he just stares and smiles when he hears mickey’s voice! (which is why we picked mickey mouse for his theme for his birthday party)

Soothie:  So at first these things drove me nuts! I bought all the cute nuk and mam binky’s but our little toot refused all of them, which he cried ALOT when he was first born so we continued to try them, and kept getting the same result.. he would spit it out… then when he was about a week old we tried the soothie  what the hospital gave us and what do you know… that little stinker liked it! he does have a wubanub which helps with the cuteness, and works well at night in his crib since he can find it.

bink

Sophie: This little giraffe teether has been wonderful!!!! he has loved this thing since he was 4 months old and still plays around with it now and then, it will always be a special keepsake for me I have so many memories and photos of him with his sweet little giraffe sophie.

Mott’s for Tot’s Juice: Brody loves his juice/water, we have found that he needs to have a little bit of juice daily or he gets constipated, but I really don’t like him having sugary juice so were loving this juice for little one’s it is already diluted with water in it plus 40% less sugar than regular apple juice, they also have fruit punch he loves them both!

juicea

Hot Wheels Cars: he absolutely adores cars, he will sit in the floor and swipe these little things all around and chase them its so cute!! and we just love to watch him play like a big boy!

well these are a few of brody’s favorite things at this age… I’m sure there are others, and I’m sure the list will change every few months, I’m sure it will be fun to look back years to come and see what things he loved at almost a year old!

ITALIAN GRILLED CHEESE SANDWICH

I made these when we went camping last weekend, along with some yummy crock pot potato soup. the soup I have made numerous times but the sandwiches were a first and they are YUMMY!!! in fact since last weekend I've made one for myself 2 other times lol…
gch4

Italian Dressing
Italian Bread, sliced
1 tomato slice
3 basil leaves
1 slice of provolone cheese, cut into 4ths

Instead of buttering your bread like a traditional grilled cheese sandwich, you’ll evenly spread Italian dressing on one side of each slice of bread.
gch1
Place your italian dressed slice of bread face down on your griddle or skillet & start assembling your sandwich!  Here’s how I do it….FIRST, I put on 3 basil leaves.  THEN I cover with provolone cheese & top with a slice of tomato.
gch2
Cover with the other Italian dressed slice of bread & grill!!
gch3
Make sure your skillet/griddle is sprayed with non-stick cooking spray before cooking.  The italian dressing tends to “stick” just a little!!  The sandwich will be hot & gooey…and OH SO GOOD!!!!!

CRAFTY

Ive had my eye on these initial onesies from etsy since Brody was about a month old (not sure why I never ended up ordering one) but I’m glad I didn’t because I found a tutorial on how to make them myself using heat n bond and some cute fabric! (and some small wood letters which I already had) they turned out perfect and pretty darn cute if I do say so myself, next I’m going to try to work on his name with the initial like this.
now just look at this cute model!

YUMMY PIZZA

food11
I found this recipe on pinterest awhile back ago and thought i would share. I have made it for the family a few times and everyone devours it (except ryley of course)… and recently made it for a friend over at her house one day for a lunch/ play date and she loved it just as much as we do!
Rustic Chicken Pizza1 can (13.8 oz) refrigerated classic pizza crust
1/2 cup ranch dressing
2 tablespoons freshly grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups chopped deli rotisserie chicken (from 2- to 2 1/2-lb chicken)
1 box (9 oz) frozen spinach, thawed, squeezed to drain
1 1/2 cups shredded Asiago cheese (about 4 1/2 oz) {comes in the container like Parmesan cheese}
3 plum (Roma) tomatoes, sliced
Heat oven to 400°F. Lightly spray 12-inch pizza pan with cooking spray. Unroll pizza crust dough; place in pan. Starting at center, press out dough with hands to edge of pan.
Bake crust about 6 minutes or until crust begins to dry. Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix dressing and Parmesan cheese.
Remove partially baked crust from oven. Spread dressing mixture over crust. Top with chicken and spinach.  Sprinkle with Asiago cheese. Top with tomatoes.
Bake 15 to 20 minutes longer or until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown. Cut into wedges.
