PIMP MY RIDE

Brody loves his little coop car, so sometimes we bring it in the house for him to play with, he loves to take his juice and snack cup in with him..silly boy! (were thinking the car needs some stickers to spice it up a bit) : )

SKY: vbs 2012

Both of my girls had a fabulous week at VBS. The theme this year was Sky: Everything is possible with God and taught them all about God’s AWESOME love! the girls had such a great time, and each day when I picked them up they couldn’t wait to tell me all about their morning! they even had yummy snacks, like root beer floats, strawberry shortcake, and popcorn with candy! they got to do fun stations, sing great songs and most importantly learn more about God’s love! (sadly peyton got sick so wasn’t able to attend the last 2 days, she was pretty sad about it)

Day 1

Bible Point:
No matter who you are…trust God!

Bible Verse:
"People judge by outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart." (1 Samuel 16:7)

Bible Story:
A Roman officer has faith in Jesus. (Matthew 8:5-13)

Day 2

Bible Point:
No matter how you feel…trust God!

Bible Verse:
"Don't let your hearts be troubled. Trust in God."
(John 14:1)

Bible Story:
Jesus brings Lazarus back to life.
(John 11)

Day 3

Bible Point:
No matter what people do…trust God!

Bible Verse:
"But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles." (Isaiah 40:31)

Bible Story:
Jesus is arrested and put on trial. (Matthew 26:36-27:31)

Day 4

Bible Point:
No matter what happens…trust God!

Bible Verse:
"And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God's love." (Romans 8:38)

Bible Story:
Jesus dies and comes back to life.
(Matthew 27:32-28:20)

Day 5

Bible Point:
No matter where you are…trust God!

Bible Verse:
"Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9)

Bible Story:
Jesus makes a beachside breakfast for his friends. (John 21:1-14)

I didn’t get very many pics, and the ones I did get were with my camera phone, but next summer I will try to get some better pics with my camera! : ) however I did manage to get a few off of the church’s website : )

For daddy’s Birthday (June 27th) the girls and went shopping that day for a few fun gifts and when we got home we decorate the house up a bit… when he got home from work we were ready to go to dinner at the new Buffalo Wild Wings…. sadly right after we got there peyton was having some issues going to the bathroom..(she had done this a week or so before for one afternoon also, but since it went away I never called the dr) so as soon as we sat down at our table she lost it and started crying.. I took her to the bathroom and then went outside to call the dr to see if we could get her in asap, luckily they could in 20 min so my mom, and the rest of the family stayed at the restaurant, while peyton and I ran up to the dr’s office, they took some urine tests and sent them off to the lab and in the meantime gave us a prescription to put her on for a urinary tract infection… poor girl…. so the birthday ended up not being so great, we were really worried about peyton and had her sleep with us that night, we decided to wait and have our cupcakes the next night!

wish it would have been a better birthday, but things happen, daddy got some new clothes, flip flops, and a giftcard for some more clothes,and a new leaf blower.. we love you daddy and hopefully next year will be better! : )
