TheTrueFam’s  Fourth of July was a fun memorable one, we slept in (brody is getting good at that since were sleeping in everyday this summer) had a fun little festive breakfast then got around and headed over to Independence for the parade, we hadn’t been in a couple years so peyton was excited! : )

Of course the kids were in their fashionable outfits!

and we had to take a few family pic’s!

once we got there the kids were hungry so we got some food and found somewhere to sit, (I noticed little man wouldn’t eat very much and was acting very tired)

there were so many pretty flying flags!…

after we left the parade, we took ryley up to the golfing range to meet a couple friends and play for awhile

while we headed back to the house to lay brody down for a nap (and gave him some tylenol) and started decorating the yard with our flour stars.. which by the way is a pain and we wont be doing again ha!..

when brody woke up he seemed to be doing better so he played outside for awhile

we made these yummy strawberries, which didn’t turn out as pretty because I don’t like white choc so instead I made my own cream cheese frosting so they were really good but kinda funny looking.. and some fun drinks to have with our dinner, we made chicken taco’s, with all the fixings!

then later that evening we went over to our friends house/neighborhood where they do a block party type thing and put off these awesome (illegal) fireworks, we brought our own over to do there also….the excitement from my favorite little ones was contagious!! they literally did these big great fireworks for over 2 hours, it was crazy..but so cool to watch a free show! the cops ended up coming right before we left but the funny thing is one of the guys doing the fireworks IS a cop/detective.. so the two cops ended up talking and the cop left and never came back so I guess it pays to have a cop in the neighborhood when you do illegal fireworks lol??!

brody was really tired and so cold (think he had fever) he was shaking so I wrapped him up in 2 big blankets and he fell asleep in my lap and missed most of the big fireworks, poor baby the next day we discovered something wasn’t right with him : (

the fireworks were fantastic!!

So bailey and her friend made this video here a few weeks ago I JUST seen it on the ipad yesterday, bailey wont let me post it on facebook so I’m sending a link on my blog for anyone who wants to watch its hilarious!!! (p.s don’t judge the cluttered/disorganized bedroom in the background we started redecorating/painting and organizing the girls room at the time this was recorded) hope it makes you smile! SPIDER BRODY, SPIDER BRODY

Normally I’m not too into “character” clothes, but for pajamas and underwear I can make an exception.. and occasionally a shirt here and there (since little man LOVES certain characters)…but because brody is loving to climb on anything these days these pajamas fit our own little spider brody!

BREAKFAST OF CHAMPIONS!

Last Sunday (July 1^st) we woke up and while daddy cleaned carpets I took the kids out for donuts for breakfast!, this is a special treat because I don’t very often allow the kids to eat donuts for breakfast, (normally it’s a snack/dessert) but they sounded pretty yummy this morning and the kids didn’t argue with that! : )

A DAY OUT

Last Friday, we got up and headed out early, we ran some errands target, walmart, (pay the water bill that I almost forgot about..oops) and costco, we also met our friends kim and reece at the cake shop for lunch! yummy!

later that evening brody and I swung out on the porch, before momma went to the movies with lisemarie, and we met up with jennifer and a couple other girls, was a fantastic day!

BRODY’S FIRST MOVIE

Last Wednesday I dropped the girls off at VBS, and brody and I went out to breakfast then over to the mall to watch Happy Feet 2, we packed some juice and snacks and of course took his “baby” (blanky).. as we walked into the theatre the first thing he noticed was this huge Finding Nemo poster…we SO are going to have to take him to see this when it comes back to theatres…it is his FAVORITE movie!!!!

we got there about 15 min before the movie started and he did pretty good, he made it thru about an hour and 15 min then he just wanted to climb around and up and down from his chair, and was getting loud, so we headed out!
