ITS BEGINNING TO LOOK A LOT LIKE CHRISTMAS

On Sat Dec 1st after our North Pole breakfast we bundled up and headed out to pick out our tree. so glad the weather wasn’t too bad, it was cold but not horrible and thankfully not raining!

little man kept saying “I scuuuurd” ha! silly boy.. its his favorite thing to say right now but he insisted on one of us (mostly ryley) holding him for the 25 min we were there!

because of our new sectional in the front room we had to put our Christmas tree somewhere else this year, which has a little bit of a shorter roof above, so we got a shorter and skinnier tree this year.

after we got the tree home it turned out it was a lot taller than we thought it was, but it fit perfectly fine I think its around 11 ft, but its really not a very pretty tree its super thin and the needles are already dying…  brody was obsessed with the ladder the entire time we were trying to decorate…. but that night while we were watching a movie he got out all his trains and went and laid on the wood floor by the tree and played .. I had to grab my camera to get some of these sweet shots : )

the next morning I made yummy monkey bread fro breakfast!!

ELFIS IS BACK…

On Saturday Dec 1st we woke up to a pretty fun little North Pole breakfast that Elfis whipped up for the kids, he also brought them candy advent calanders

the advent calanders have a fun activity written out each day when you open the square.. fun!

little man was loving the donuts!!!

and here are a few other fun and silly things Elfis has been doing around here….

One night he brought back some magic tree elf seeds to plant in a bowl of sugar along with some Christmas tree donuts for breakfast!

so that night before going to bed peyton planted the magic seeds in the bowl of sugar

surprise!!! the tree seeds grew into tree cookies on a stick!!!

one morning we found him hanging from the light fixture.. brody thought this was funny!!!

and one night he put mustaches on all the kids pictures down the hall.. and even one on himself!

the funniest was the night he snuck in and painted peyton’s nose red like Rudolph's.. when she found Elfis and read the note that said to go look in the mirror, she ran to the bathroom and I thought she was going to cry at first, but she started giggling.. she said “that’s what that was, I rubbed my nose earlier and I thought it was dried snot” ha!!

were glad Elfis is back….he makes this time of year even more fun!!!…stay tuned for more shenanigans coming soon…..

The last week in November TheTrueFam was getting into the Christmas Spirit!

WINTER CHOIR PERFORMANCE

Thursday November 29th Bailey had her first choir concert of the year, she was picked to be one of the girls in the poodle skirts and was so excited and happy!, that day brody refused to take his nap so we thought we were going to be doomed, but he fell asleep 10 minutes before we had to leave so we decided to leave him with ryley (since he would be out for the night at that point) it was nice to be able to sit down and watch the concert without brody having a meltdown, or wanting to run around, so daddy got to enjoy it also since he is usually the one to deal with him (while I take the photo’s) anyways.. the concert was so cute.. they all sang their little hearts out and had such fun little skits! I’m going to miss watching her little school concerts after this year when she starts junior high!
