St. Patty's Day 2013

St. Patrick’s Day is a fun & easy holiday to celebrate.

I just do a few simple things to make it more fun for my kids. first of all a silly leprechaun comes and gives them green little surprises/treats in their shoes over night! (this tradition started back when bailey was in 1st grade .. her teacher every year has the kids leave out their shoes in the classroom while they are in PE, and they make cute little leprechaun traps (to try to catch the leprechaun) and the leprechaun comes and fills their shoes with candy pencils, stickers, and usually a book, it was so cute and the kids loved it! so I decided to keep the tradition alive! it really is very simple everything except the Jones Soda and fish crackers were from dollar tree I think I spent $8 at dollar tree and another $10 at target on the food and drinks (including the cereal and donuts) so as you can see its just a fun cheap little thing to do, and I mostly just do it for the youngest two! : )

Brody got this little sticky Octopus that crawls down the window, he loved it!!!!!! ha!

and they of course loved their green milk, lucky charms and donuts!!

then we got cleaned up and dressed and ready for church!.. all in our green!!

after church daddy went over to his brothers to watch a fight on tv so we went to lunch (you can guess where) then back home to start dinner

I made Guinness stew! It was yummy! the kids all liked it, and grandma and grandpa came over to visit and ended up eating with us also. I also made loaded mashed potatoes mmmm!

then later that evening ry and I ran up to McDonald’s to get one of the Shamrock shakes, it was good but not near as good as Sonic’s!!

SUPER BOUNCE WITH DADDY

Daddy had vacation the week of the 10th-16th, we really didn’t do too much since the other kids had school, we had PLANNED to go to the beach for a few days but the weather was supposed to be rainy over at the coast and we don’t do the coast in the rain!.. NOT fun with kids! so I cancelled the reservations and we just stuck around town for the week! but its always fun having daddy home with us! on Wednesday we took Brody to super bounce to play, then out to Walery’s for lunch then we did a little grocery shopping at walmart, stopped and got an ice cream and headed home! Brody was worn out but had a fun day!

then on Friday, we woke up got around took the kids to breakfast before school and daddy and mommy did some Easter Basket shopping, then went over to grandma and grandpa’s for some lunch and to visit! it was a relaxing stay-cation! (those are daddy’s favorite!) : )

We have had a few gorgeous Pre-Spring days lately! and when the sun comes out we head outside!!! Brody loves being outside, and today (3/13) I took the time to truly enjoy my baby! we found a lady bug and brody let it crawl on him, he loved it! he picked weeds or I mean flowers for me! : )  we also took a walk (holding hands) up to the park and played!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CALEB

On Sat March 9th our little cousin Caleb turned 1 year old! he lives in Washington but came to town to celebrate his Birthday! I actually have more pictures but thought I would put the cutest ones up here!

the theme was “Under the Sea” so cute!!

DADDY’S HOME!!!

Brody has always gotten pretty excited for daddy to get home in the afternoon’s but when he is outside playing and see’s him pull up, he’s even MORE excited!!! and on this sunny day we were out taking a walk and seen daddy pull up and brody took off to meet him!..so cute!

then he climbed inside the car and wanted to steer the steering wheel! : )
