My kids get pretty excited for Halloween!, Getting to dress up and getting INSANE amounts of candy is just TOO great for words! After the kids got home from school, we started the transformation.. and getting the kids all dressed up, we had prepared dinner the evening before so we could eat quickly and leave by 5 to head over to grandma and grandpa’s to trick or treat them and wish grandpa a Happy Birthday!!!… then stopped by grandma Donna’s for a bit, then headed back home to trick or treat in our neighborhood, we have a lot of “older” folks in Hidden Creek estates, so there really isn’t a TON of houses that hand out candy.. (I think they probably go to bed too early lol) but the kids still got a TON of candy… most of the houses handed out a few pieces each, so they were happy! it was so cold out that brody, ryley and I only made it for about an hour then went back home while daddy and they girls stayed out about another 30 minutes. we all had a great evening and I can’t wait until next year when brody can walk around in his little costume!

PUMPKINS
Friday evening after we had our pumpkin pizza from papa murphy’s and some sparkling cider, we all got in our comfy pajamas and got out our pumpkins and got down to business… the girls (daddy) had fun carving theirs and brody LOVED getting his sweet little hands on the seeds (in fact he kept trying to put them in his mouth)… the past few years we have gotten lots of pumpkins for the front porch, but I was a slacker this year and just never got around to getting more than the 4 I bought a few weeks ago!
Now we’re just waiting for the grand finale…costumes are ready and waiting!….
Happy Pumpkin Day!

it’s the great pumpkin…

Having 2 excited little girls with me at the store usually doesn’t really help things lol…but, we’ve enjoyed it ALL…so you won’t hear me complain!
So…take a peek into our kitchen…and pick you up some of these yummy items the next time you’re out…
