DONUT DATE

On Wed (Sept.26th) Bailey had her first day of Choir for this year so that means twice a week she has to be to school by 8, so that means either Peyton can go with her and play in the lobby with some of the other siblings for an hour or she can stay home with me and I can take her at regular time…. so for the first day she decided to stay with me and Brody, so we decided to have a donut date after we dropped bailey off at 8.. mmm I LOVE donuts and my little man loves them just as much as me I think!.. the girls like them but don’t enjoy them as much as me and him!

VEGGIES IN A POUCH

Well at 22 month’s old Brody STILL refuses his veggies…toot!!.. so the only way we can get them in him is by disguising them mixed in other foods or giving him these little pouches mixed with fruits and veggies!.. hey whatever works right?!

I BROKE MY #1 RULE

I have always been the mom that wasn't a fan of "characters!"… Please don't take offence, but I've seen them as tacky and just unnecessary except for on the occasional jammies or underwear! But my baby has fallen in love with ...Yo Gabba Gabba! Have you seen it!? It's the strangest thing I've ever seen and holds his attention like nothing else. He sits (or usually stands) for the entire 20 something minutes in awe of what is before him...the weird dancing, singing, characters, 80's video game noises...he loves every minute! And, it teaches him about sharing, about not being scared of things, about not biting your friends, trying new foods, about animals and more! Anyway, while at Target a few months ago, we walked by the clothes isle and we seen this t-shirt, I held it up and it immediately caught Brody’s eye…! “Gabba”!..." he said with such excitement and enthusiasm!!! I handed it to him and he just held it staring and smiling at the characters… Now tell me how I could have said no to that!! So, we left with the Gabba shirt...I hadn’t put it on him yet because again it is a bit silly looking, but he looks pretty darn cute, if I do say so myself! ..So, the mom that said "never" has caved...and I'm totally OK with it! : )

OUR STAYCATION

The week of Sept 17th-21st brandon had off for vacation, so with school just starting we couldn’t do much of anything, so we stayed home and just did some fun things each day, it was a great week!

Monday

we woke up and got around took the big kids to school and headed up to Woodburn to visit Brandon's grandma.. it was a nice visit and she it was good for her to see brody, she hadn’t seen him since he was a few months old.

after visiting for a couple hours we drove to the washington sq mall to eat lunch at the cheesecake factory, daddy had never been there, we both loved out lunch!..little man was pretty good up until the last 15 min or so

then we went walking in the mall, brody loves playing at the soft play area

we sat for about 30 min and let him run around and play!

then we walked over to build a bear, we almost let him build a bear but decided to wait until he was a bit older so it would be more special and fun for him to do it himself (maybe his 2 1/2 year bday??! : )

but he had a fun time pushing the stroller around and looking at all the bears and animals!

Tuesday

we stayed home today and worked in the yard and played outside

Wednesday

After taking the kids to school, we got around and headed out to do a little shopping

target and walmart shopping and stopped at the mall… then we went to visit grandma and grandpa for awhile before it was time to pick ryley up from school

we stopped for 50 cent ice-cream cones on the way home..

this was also National talk like a Pirate day and brandon made fun of it all day, saying how stupid it was, so that night I had a little fun clebrating the fun, silly theme

we actually watched pirates of the Caribbean (bailey enjoyed it the most I think) while we ate some pirate’s booty!

peyton also worked with missy that night (telling her to stay)

Thursday

today we went up to eat lunch at the school with miss peyton (we were a little early so we sat in the car for about 5 min and let brody drive)

then it was time to have lunch with our favorite 1st grader!! brody was so excited to see sissy!!

we told her we would bring her anything she wanted for lunch.. McD’s is what she chose…sigh..  lol

then too quickly our lunch visit was over and it was time for sissy to go outside for recess as she walked away she waved bye to us… still sad my baby girl is gone all day.

after we left the school we headed downtown for a little treat.. to Sugar Sugar for some cupcakes!!!

I got the chocolate cream one and brandon got the oreo one and oh my goodness they were both super good but brandon’s was DELISH!!!!

Friday

today Daddy went and ate lunch with Bailey but brody and I stayed home, cleaned some house and played
