When Grandma Nunley called me and told me Yo Gabba Gabba was coming to Portland I 1. could not believe I had not heard anything about it yet… and 2. knew I had to try to get us tickets!!! I went online and tickets were not very cheap unfortunately…I was able to get discounted tickets for the Disney on Ice and Elmo.. but I searched for hours online trying to find cheaper tickets and promo codes, with no luck. but I knew Brody would LOVE to see them more than anything, and they were coming only 1 day so I forked over the money and got 4 tickets! We I was ecstatic : ) and talked it up all week to Brody!! Peyton was actually excited too, she knows all the songs as well thanks to brody, but was once a Gabba fan herself about 4 years ago!
Sunday March 3rd was the big day, we got up and around and headed out around 11:45, stopped at Chevy’s for some lunch (which Brody fell asleep in the car on the way so he slept on brandon the whole time while we ate)
but he woke up after we got back in the car and we were close to the Rose Garden!!
and when we walked in it was adorable seeing all the Gabba stuff!! And the show did not disappoint! It was precious and Brody, along with many other sweet toddlers, were mesmerized by the singing and dancing of DJ Lance, Brobee, Tuti, Plex, Foofa, and Muno!! the Actors were very interactive with the kids and Brody was loving the clapping and dancing!!!
I have always thought the show was a fun show(silly looking characters but fun, and teaches good things) but this caught Brody’s attention in such a new way...and it was priceless to watch him see it all in person! he was more interactive with this show than Disney and Elmo for sure!
the package we got with the tickets was a family 4 pack it came with alot better seats than just individually buying 4 tickets and it was only $6 more and it came with 4 hot-dogs, popcorn’s, and bottled water/or soda.. we weren’t actually hungry so we only got brody a hot dog since he hadn’t ate and was sleeping at lunch, and I also brought some strawberries and blueberries and a fruit/veggie pouch for him. he pigged!! and then had popcorn and some of Peyton’s cotton candy!
majority of the kids had these $10 glow sticks so of course we bought one for Brody, it was too cute watching him wave it around!
at half time we took a potty break and went out to take some quick pics!
Brody loved the bubbles and all the confetti they shot out at the end!
and it was so cute after the show Brody kept saying Bye Bye Gabba : ) such a fun memory!
