On Sat Nov 9th we celebrated Brody’s bday by going on the Polar Express! we woke up that morning ate breakfast and loaded up the car for an overnight trip to mt hood!
the drive there was great!… until…
literally 10 minutes from the train station there was a wreck! we waited and waited to get off the exit and to the train station it took like 40 minutes! luckily we got their with 10 minutes to spare! so close!!!!

then we were off and got our cocoa and cookies (personally I don’t care for either not a cocoa fan and cant stand gingersnap cookies) but brody loved the cookie!! but wouldn’t touch the cocoa, peyton liked both!

the hobo from the movie leaving the train! he was pretty funny all through out the train ride!
after the train ride was over we drove over to Shari’s for some dinner (daddy’s tummy wasent feeling so well most of the day so we just had a light dinner)
when we got to the hotel the kids were so excited and wound up!!.. we absolutely loved our hotel! it was So nice!!
and right down by the river!
the outdoor pool was heated like a hot tub it was amazing! and the kids loved it!
after swimming we went back to the room ate a snack and played on the ipads and watched tv!
then right before bed we face timed ryley and bailey to tell them good night!.. the next morning we all got to sleep in, brody painted…
then we went down the the restaurant (kids in jammies ha!) to eat breakfast!
after breakfast it was swimming time again!
it was such a pretty day out (chilly but so pretty)
but the water felt so good!
under the covered area they have thse heaters that blow to keep you warm while you dry off so brody looks cold but he wasent! felt so good under there!
then back to our room for showers and ready to check out!

on our way home we stopped at John’s Incredible Pizza, SO fun!!!!
we had such a fun little weekend getaway! and I’m glad my sweet soon to be 3 year old had such a great time!
