BEACH GETAWAY

For Valentine’s Day weekend, I had booked us reservations at the beach for the night a good 6 weeks in advance (it was also a bday get away) I was SO excited to spend some time with my favorite valentine!

we left town around 11 am stopped at sandwich express for a quick lunch and then stopped at Spirit Mountain casino, we stayed about 2 hours and didn’t do so well with our luck there then headed to our hotel, when we got to our hotel (finally) around 4 (traffic was HORRIBLE with it being a holiday weekend) the sun was shining and it was so pretty out! our hotel was nice and we had a perfect room and view of the ocean! we relaxed in our room for awhile and sat out on the balcony.

Then we went to Pier 101 for dinner we knew it would probably be an hour wait so we were prepared. Around 6:30 we got our table and the food came shortly after, I had some really yummy stuffed shrimp with asparagus, rice and veggies, and brandon got a huge basket full of different stuff he shared some of it with me and it was all so good!

after dinner it was about 8 so we drove over to chinook winds casino for a bit and actually ended up walking away with $40 (which is about what we lost at the other casino) then we went to the movies around 9:30 to watch 50 shades of gray. after the movie we went back to the hotel I had wanted to go relax in the hot tub but we got back to late..so we watched a movie and relaxed instead.. we were thrilled when we realized we had no alarm or no little ones waking us up in the morning.. we slept in until around 8 am, sat out on the patio and showered and got ready for the day..

then we went over to the casino for the sunday brunch. it was awesome! the crab legs and all the seafood was SO good! we were very happy with this buffet! we got to talk and just spend time together. it was perfect!

after brunch we went to the outlet mall and did some shopping for a couple hours then grabbed some starbucks and started to head home. I’m also thankful for my grandparents who watched the two little ones for us so we could have our little get away and never once worry about either one of their sweet faces! (even though I did feel a little sad that brody had a cold while we were gone and wasn't his normal happy self sat)

  1. How romantic! You two are really perfect for each other. Anyway, the beach looks super lovely, and the food looks absolutely divine. You guys planned that trip well from the get-go, and it's only right that you had an amazing time together. I hope you can enjoy more fun trips like that. Thanks for sharing! All the best! :)
