DADDY’S BIRTHDAY AT THE BEACH

On Friday June 26th daddy had the day off from work and since his Birthday was the next day we had (kind of) surprised him with a little overnight trip to the beach, we were just going to go for the day originally but when we seen the forecast called for 100 degree weather in the valley I decided to book a room so we could stay the night, but we ended up telling daddy a few days before.

it turned out it was the kite festival and everything was decorated for fourth of july which was pretty cool

this flag is a giant kite but it was SO windy they ended up not being able to fly it and the kite festival was basically cancelled for friday

we grabbed some quick lunch then took the kids down to the beach to play before checking into our hotel








it was REALLY windy, so not as much fun as usual and a tad chilly



as soon as we got checked into the hotel the kids wanted to go swimming.






we went and got a pizza and some snacks for dinner and rented a movie (brody played on the ipad)

the next morning we had free continental breakfast in the lobby then the kids swam for a bit again












after some lunch we took the kids down to the kite festival, the weather was much better today and warmer and the beach was packed!





this guy was down on the beach with a big wand making bubbles for the kids


































it was a fun little getaway for thetruefam!
