It was hard to believe that on Thursday April 10th, we were finally using our 5th day of our 5 day passes to Disneyland. We were tired, but I wasn’t ready for the fun to end. But, before we got sentimental, we had a whole day to spend at the parks! princess was exhausted! but after finally waking up she was excited for the day too!
we just ate some muffins and yogurt and things we had in our room for breakfast and headed over to Disneyland, we finally got our family pic taken in front of the castle!
the park was busy today, as it was a thursday and the 50th anniversary for It’s a small world, which had been closed for a couple months but was opening for the day! (they also were filming a movie/show there that day. we went to ride Autopia first! brody was excited to drive the cars, and wanted to ride with ryley!
yes brody is driving and he cant even see over the steering wheel ha!
bailey rode with me and was a tad scary on the road lol
peyton rode with daddy! but they were quite a bit ahead of us!
after the cars, everyone rode Big Thunder Railroad while brody and I had a snack and juice break
then we made it over to Mickey’s toon town
brody loved it over here!
but the big kids were getting bored, so while brandon stayed with brody in toon town, we used our fast passes for big thunder railroad again, and I got to ride it this time.. fun!
then we made it to Bengal bbq, I had heard the skewers were really good and I really wanted to try the bacon wrapped asparagus!..ryley got the banyan beef skewer (which is a spicy sauce), and the girls and I got the Chieftain chicken skewer (in a Polynesian sauce) and we also got a couple tiger tail cheese breadsticks to share… and only bailey and I liked the safari skewers (asparagus)
then we stopped and all got dole whips again and met up with brandon and brody, ryley headed back to the hotel he was hot and wanted a break.
So we watched the enchanted tiki room! of all the times we've been to Disneyland none of us had ever seen it before!
after the tiki room we braved the long line for it’s a small world, the line said 45 min wait but we actually ended up only waiting about 30 min (so not too bad)
I expected that brody would enjoy it, but I didn’t get close to guessing just HOW much he would love it! Brody wanted me to take pictures of EVERYTHING and was so joyful throughout the whole thing! he was just darling…smiling…pointing…dancing! It was a precious and perfect memory!
(you can see brandon’s enjoyment for the ride right here ha!)
at this point it was almost 2 and brandon and brody were getting hungry for lunch, so we walked back to downtown Disney and decided to stop at the rainforest café. (we've been to several of these and always enjoy them)
I wasent real hungry since I had already ate so I got an iced tea, but the kids got a little food and brandon did as well..
we watched a couple thunderstorms go off.. but wondered where our food was, we had sat there for over 30 minutes then the waitress came over and apparently they lost our order, so we got some free drinks and food (appetizers) and cut our bill.. so we were getting annoyed but they made up for it! : )
after about 40 min our food came, then afterwards they brought the kids out a big volcano dessert.. yum!
then we walked back to the hotel and decided to swim for awhile
it actually had cooled down and was only about 84 at this time so it felt so much better out compared to the previous days
then we walked back to california adventure that evening, it felt sooo good out!
while brandon took the girls (ryley decided not to come back to the parks) to go ride tower of terror, I took brody over to a bugs land to ride a few rides
the dumb camera was broke so I didn’t get my good tower of terror pic : ( so I had to take this of peyton in front of it!…. no proof but she did ride it! : )
then peyton insisted on riding the big mickey’s fun wheel (in the dark) so while brandon and bailey took brody to ride the toy story mania ride again (his favorite ride) I took miss peyton on the big wheel! she loved it! I was a bit nervous, but had taken bailey on it before when she was little (brandon hates ferris wheels and refuses to ride it)
then we went into a little shop to buy a few toys… bailey picked out some pens and paper things, peyton wanted this necklace, and brody picked out this buzz lightyear light up spin toy… the girls aso picked out a gift for their best friends as well (which happen to be sisters)
then we decided to walk over to Disneyland to catch the Fireworks show, we had already seen it a couple times from our hotel, or from other areas of the park but hadn't actually sat down and watched it yet up close by the castle! (little man fell asleep before we even got into Disneyland so he missed them, which was good since he didn’t like them anyways)
peyton waving bye to Disneyland
we slowly walked down Main Street on our way out of Disneyland. It was hard to believe that our trip was coming to an end…but, the millions of memories we made were PRECIOUS in every way.
And, I think Walt Disney said it perfectly…
“We believed in our idea - a family park where
parents and children could have fun- together.”
It was a perfect trip…and we can’t wait to come back!…hopefully sooner than later!
“I only hope that we don't lose sight of one thing - that it was all started by a mouse.”
–Walt Disney
