“A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms when his hands are empty.” ~Author Unknown

June is always about the Daddy that lives in our house. It starts with Father’s Day…and this year we were at a softball tournament the weekend of father’s day but if you ask brandon it was pretty darn perfect!

FATHERS

we took daddy out to lunch during the break on fathers day to noodles and company.. so good!

and then… on Friday June 27th on his Birthday, we drove up to woodburn and ate lunch with him, then came back home and got the house ready for our own little celebration for when he got home from work!

then the following day I had made us reservations for just him and I to go to the beach overnight (first night away since we've had brody) (actually I think the first night away in about 6 years lol)…. the older 2 kids stayed home alone, and the younger 2 stayed with grandma and grandpa.. we headed out Saturday around 11:30 and stopped at Spirit Mountain casino first. we lost about $60 then right before we were ready to leave I ended up winning $50 so we took that and ate some lunch while we were there, we got some thai shrimp and yakisoba noodles, and egg rolls they were really good!

then we got to the beach we stopped at the bay to take a walk on the beach , it was a bit chilly and windy so we didn’t stay long, then we checked into our hotel!

after we got checked in we had planned to go sit in the hot tub for awhile but I forgot our swimsuits… so we watched a movie that was on tv and just relaxed for awhile then drove over to spirit mountain casino around 6.. we didn’t stay there very long before losing our money so we left….and went over to Pier 101 for dinner.. there was about a 40 minute wait but it was totally worth it! the food was DELISH!!!! we will definitely be going back! we got a broiled seafood platter to share with dungeness crabcakes for an appetizer, and salads… we met some really nice couples one older and one younger and ended up chatting with them for over 2 hours!! everyone's food looked so good! there were so many things we wanted to try!

after dinner we grabbed a movie out of the redbox (21 jump street) (which it was already almost 10 pm at this time) went back to our hotel and watched it, we both fell asleep before the very end but it was a funny movie! the next morning we went down to the lobby for a continental breakfast.. (the pic below was Brandon's 2nd plate, he had already scarfed down his biscuits and gravy)

the sun was shining and the temp was perfect, we went over to the outlets to do a little shopping!

after a couple hours we drove over to Mo’s for some lunch! brandon got some fried seafood platter, and I got a shrimp meal, and we shared a big bowl of clam chowder! yum!
