This year, we had such a fun, low-key 4th. We enjoyed our fun neighborhood, our friends neighborhood, and watching great fireworks on the 3rd AND the 4th! We seriously have THE BEST seats to great shows by stepping out our front door! every Friday night during the summer the volcanoes stadium does a cool firework show so we can see them from our house, we also live across the street from a neighborhood park where one of the neighbors has a permit to let off really big neat fireworks in the park on the 4th, a ton of the neighborhood families get blankets coolers and lay out on the grass to watch them, and our other friends up the road always have a HUGE firework show on their street. SO FUN!! and I’m so thankful that we fought no crowds and sat in no long car lines to celebrate this fun holiday this year! And for the past couple years we haven't had to waste our money on the silly boring fireworks they sell in Oregon!
On wed the 3rd at about 8;45 we drove up to target parking lot (along with several other people) to catch the volcanoes fireworks, we stopped at dairy queen on the way to get some blizzards, after we were there for about 15 minutes we ran into some friends, the kids had a fun evening!
cant beat a free fireworks show! brody liked them but wanted to be held while they were going off
then on Thursday the 4th we had a pretty lazy morning, we were going to go to the independence day parade like usual but decided last minute to not go, but that afternoon we got ready to go over to our friends house for a bbq and to watch the neat fireworks in their neighborhood
the kids played in the pool
and we had all kinds of yummy food!
Brody HATED the sparklers, like wouldn’t have anything to do with them!!!
again he did like the big fireworks but wanted to be held, he only stayed awake for about 30 minutes and then we put him inside on the couch while we watched the rest which they lasted for a couple hours total!
it’s a pretty neat show for just a little neighborhood party!
another fun truefam 4th in the books!
