Baileys 10U softball coach asked her if she would want to play a few games/tournaments a few weeks ago..(she technically is too old to play 10U but only by a few days and she was a bit hesitate at first but decided she would do it! the first day was games at Keizer little league fields.. it was really early sat morning so brandon and her drove up to practice and get ready and me me and the 2 youngest came about an hour and a half later.. it was pretty chilly when we first got there but warmed up to be a beautiful day!
we had about an hour and a half wait until we had to be back to the fields for their next game.. so we went to old navy to find daddy some new khaki pants and ate lunch at panera
the next day games were in Dallas.. it was another beautiful day out.. but baileys stomach was a bit upset that morning and she wasn't really feeling the game at first..
once they seen the snow cones at the snack bar they were all over that!!!
the coach gave her a bit of a pep talk.. and she drank lots of water.. and finally started feeling better
the ball fields are right next to the elementary school (brandons old elementary school actually) so I took the little ones up there to play while the team warmed up and got ready
entertaining themselves…
the following weekend they just had games saturday (3 games) and it was a nasty day out… cold, wet, and rainy!! we drove to Newberg but me and the little ones only ended up staying for about half of the first game .. ot was just too wet and cold and poor brody fell into a mud puddle.. I changed him in the car (luckily I brought extra shoes and everything for him)
after half of the first game was over I took the little ones up to target in sherwood to each get a coloring book and crayons then I took them to Safari Sam’s to eat lunch and play for awhile… meanwhile bailey played her 2nd game…
on our way back to the ball fields in newberg brody fell asleep so I let him sleep for about 45 min or so then he woke up and we walked down to finish watching bailey play the 2nd half of her 3rd game
luckily we got to watch her pitch!
later that afternoon, we took the girls over to grandma donna’s house to spend the night, and at that time it was getting late so we stopped at mcgrath’s for dinner with brody. he loved the lobster tank!
Bailey had fun, we were glad she did it… hope to see her play more next spring!!
