This poor baby boy surely has NO idea what his name is lol.. because we call him WAY too many things! But, we can all be certain that we love him to pieces…No matter WHAT his name is!
First off, I’ll tell you about his sweet name, what it means and how we came to choose it for our sweet last baby!
When I was about 6 months pregnant we had talked about several boy and girl names, we were pretty certain on “Kylee” for a girl and in the beginning I liked “Brody” and so did Brandon and the girls, but Ryley did not like it : ( which I really wanted Ryley to be a part in the name process especially if he was going to finally get a “BROTHER”… so I changed my mind I liked Logan (but Brandon didn’t’) so we were stuck on a boys name, then one day I seen the name Easton and fell in love with it and Ryley loved it also…but Brandon didn’t .. I tried for a good month or more to get “Easton” in his head but he wasn’t budging.. and part of me just felt that Brody was the original first name we both liked and maybe that was a sign… so when I was about 8 months we finally had decided it was going to be Brody Jay (we knew Jay would be the middle name all along because that is daddy’s) and even Ryley had come around and didn’t mind the name, though he was pretty sure he was going to have another little sister and that her name would sound the same as his (which he really liked) but surprising us all on that early November 11th morning our sweet baby boy Brody Jay was born.. and his name “fit” him and we LOVED it!
On to the meaning of his name.
Brody means “Ditch”

honestly the meaning of his name sounds kind of silly to me, but its fun to know! : )

It is of Latin origin, and in 2010 ranked 414 on the top 1000 most popular names.
so as you can see his name’s meaning does not mean a whole lot, and it is not real common and we love it! But, as much as we love his real name, we get a kick out of all of the other things he goes by. Here are the things that we (or others) tend to call him on a daily basis…
