After a good night’s sleep we woke up Sunday morning and it almost felt like Christmas morning! we quickly showered, packed snacks and drinks, went down to the concierge for some quick breakfast and headed over to California Adventure to get early admission into the park (we got there around 8) and into Cars Land (early admission is a GREAT perk to staying at one of the Disney resorts!)
seeing the sign to get into the park was SO exciting peyton just stared in awe at all of her surroundings!
we hurried and got to radiator springs to ride the Cars ride (I got a baby switch pass so brandon and 2 of the kids could go on it as soon as me and the kids got off) while we were in line to ride Cars, daddy took brody over to meet Lightning McQueen… it don’t surprise me at all that he was a tad nervous (and maybe a little star struck too lol) McQueen talked and moved a little bit but he was so cute! and brody continued to talk about him throughout the day!
and OH-MY-GOODNESS!.. Radiator Springs Racers… BEST ride there!! seriously one of my fave’s!! SO fun!!
after we had all rode the cars ride we found mater, brody had warmed up a bit to the Cars and characters finally!
these were fun too they hovered over air and you could bump into people (softly) brody liked it!
then we made it over to a bugs land while ryley and bailey went and rode Soarin over California and got fast passes for us to come back later to ride it again!
after we left a bugs land we made it over to one of the little stores to get Mickey Ears!
you cant go to Disneyland your first time without getting Mickey Ears!! : )

ry and bailey were getting hungry so they got a corn dog and chips, while peyton and brody ate some chicken nuggets, yogurt, fish crackers, and french fries (Brandon and I werent hungry yet so we snacked)

more pin trading and time to head back to ride Soarin
after Soarin it was getting really warm out the kids wanted a treat
don’t ask me why the photopass guys made us do this pose? lol

it was getting SO warm out we decided to walk back to the Bugs Land to let them get wet
after that it was already around 1, and really warm out so the kids wanted to hit the pool (ryley stayed in the room and relaxed) we stopped at the concierge lounge and grabbed some food and snacks then made it to the pool
we loved that they had a little pool for brody!
we swam for about an hour and a half then got cleaned up and headed back to the park around 4
leaving our hotel heading through downtown disney district
we didn’t even make it to the gates of Disneyland and Brody was fast asleep…
we went over to Disneyland, because we had dinner reservations at the big thunder ranch bbq that evening
peyton got to meet Tianna not long after we got in!
it was SO busy (bring a sunday, and spring break. it was pretty nuts!
brandon and the kids rode the haunted mansion (while brody slept) and got a switch pass sop me and the girls rode it after they got off…
after walking around and daddy took brody on the circus train ride (and ryley and bailey went and rode something but I cant remember), it was time to check in for our dinner, and we were all hungry!
it was a family style dinner where they bring out unlimited buckets of all you can eat ribs,chicken and sausage along with corn on the cob, cole slaw, and baked beans, and really good corn bread! (I also requested veggie skewers which were really good) we enjoyed the music and everything was good, service was great also! our total bill was a little over $100 (I did get a discount by using my Disney visa card) so it was high, but it was nice that the food was all you can eat! we would definitely go back here again! worth the money!
after dinner brandon took the kids on pirates of the caribbean (we thought about taking brody but figured he may get scared with some of it being in the dark so I waited with him) I had bought lots of glow in the dark items from dollar tree before we left to bring so brody played with those while we waited for them to get off the ride
he looks asleep here but he’s not he was just getting tired
we found a good spot to watch Fantasmic!
kind of a long video but the show was amazing!!! I wish I could of recorded it all.. and the video does not even do it justice!
after Fantasmic we started walking out of the park then the fireworks started (brody hated them) so he covered his ears with his blanket
poor peytons feet were hurting (her shoes) so she got a ride in the stroller with brody on the way back to the hotel!
“Perfect” doesn’t seem to quite describe our day! It was a magical first day…and we were so thankful that there were so many amazing times ahead of us. We still had 4 more full days in the parks!
