DISNEYLAND…DAY 5

On Tuesday the 8th it was our 3rd day in the park, we actually slept in a little bit that morning since it was our last morning at Paradise Pier hotel, after getting ready and loading/packing up all of our belongings we went down to concierge and grabbed lots of waters, sodas and snacks to take with us, ate breakfast and checked out of the hotel and walked over to the Disney hotel to check in there since that was where we were going to spend our last 3 nights. we checked in around 9:30 but our room obviously wasn't ready yet that early so they sent us a text while we were in the park that day letting us know when I room was ready… in the meantime we just kept our stuff in our car (and food and drinks in our cooler in the car) …

that morning we checked with lost and found and nobody had turned baileys cell phone in so I called our provider and reported it stolen and shut it off (luckily she had a lock code on it so nobody was able to use it) I knew we had insurance on the phone but wasn't sure how it worked, but we found out we just have to pay the deductible and they will overnight express her a brand new phone… so needless to say this girl was EXTREMELY happy and it was good news all around!

I wish I would of took more pictures of the Disneyland hotel lobby its so neat and I love all the palm trees on the grounds!

paradise pier was a nice hotel and we liked it! but there's just something different about the Disney hotel, it is nicer, very much Disney themed and just fun!!! (and the pool and water slides are amazing!!!) it will probably be our go-to hotel in the future! : )

we headed over to Disneyland and daddy took the other 3 kids on space mountain (we were supposed to get a pic but the photo machine wasn't working : ( which it took them about a half hour to get on it so they weren't about to go do it again for a pic!

while they rode the ride brody had fun playing in the water ball we call it lol (bailey and peyton both enjoyed it when they were little too)

and the water felt good to get a little wet it was already SO warm out!!!

then we all rode snow whites scary journey (sorry cell pics were blurry)

after walking around for awhile we decided to ride the dumbo’s the line was a good 20 minutes but while brandon and I took the 2 little ones the older two went and got fast passes for big thunder railroad

poor peyton was so hot she said just hurry and take the picture lol (at this time it was around noon and about 85 degrees)

ryley and bailey came back with some lemonades

then they went on the teacups (since the line was super short)

and of course brody HAD to have the pink cup!!!

we had lunch reservations at 1:30 at the Carnation Café, I had never eaten there but have heard great reviews we actually got there about 20 minutes early but they fit us in! and we got to meet Oscar!! if you don’t know who Oscar is click this link to read about him! I’m sure there are plenty other websites about him but this will give you an idea! the oldest person working in the park to this day! he worked with Walt!!!! our food was really good we got an appetizer of fried pickles to share they were so good! bailey and I got a shrimp pasta dish, ryley and peyton both got got chicken fried chicken, and brandon got a cheeseburger.. brody ate french fries and a bit of the chicken (and some fruit we had packed)

after lunch we walked over to the princess fantasy faire area to meet some princesses! we waited in a line for about 15 minutes and then got taken back inside a building to meet 3 different princesses they surprised you who would be in there and you never knew which one was around the corner… the first one up was Aurora (sleeping beauty) peyton was in such awe when she met a princess, totally different than when she met the other characters.. you could tell they were special to her! watching her with them was about them most precious thing ever and so darling! I hope that the ladies in those costumes know how magical they make it for these little ones!? I bet they cant help but smile all day! as much as I love Disneyland myself I love it even more having a front row seat through my kids eyes!

brody loved the princesses also but was shy and kept sticking his tongue out ha!

next was Ariel, which peyton was really excited to to see her!

and then there was Cinderella!

she was the only princess brody would hug! the other 2 tried .. he wasn't having it!… peyton REALLY wanted to meet Belle, which she was outside but the line for her was about 30 minutes long so figured we would come back and get hers another time (but we didn’t ever get to meet her which peyton was a bit sad about)

then it was almost time for MIckey and the Magical Map show to start so we hurried and got in line and made it into the huge tent.. we were SOOOOO glad it was covered, we were all SO extremely HOT! at this point we were dumping water from our water bottles on our heads!

 

at the end of the show these paper strings came down and brody was so happy to catch one! : )

it was a really cute show! we all enjoyed it! it wasn't on our itinerary as a “to do” because I hadn't heard much about it, I figured if we got a chance great but if not no biggie, but I’m so glad we did! and it was a nice little 30 minute break from the sun!

after the show we went over to Splash Mountain we had 2 fast passes so ryley took peyton on it for her first time! but go figure.. peyton got put in the very back and of course ryley blocked her so you cant even tell she is behind him : (

after splash mountain we walked around for a bit, grabbed some frozen lemonade’s to eat and figured we would watch Mickey’s Soundsational Parade. We got lucky and found a great spot in the shade!

the Parade was cute but not as cute as the Parade of Dreams one we watched back in 2008! I LOVED that one! the songs, the dancers, the characters.. it was so so NEAT!!! I remember I cried when I heard walt talk and the song welcome to our family time!!!! (you can watch it here!)

the parade was over close to 5 so we decided to go check out our hotel room and get all our luggage in and take the kids swimming for a bit before heading back this evening!

(I’m lucky and was able to upgrade us to the deluxe pool view through costco a few weeks before we left, we originally had a view of the parking lot lol))

the pool was SO much FUN!!!!

ryley tried to play it cool for the first 30 minutes playing on my phone…

then he made it in the hot tub! (we did go down the water slides a couple times too) : )

after swimming for awhile we went back to our room, got changed (yes brody wore woody pj’s back to the park ha! I knew he would be falling asleep soon!)

we stopped at Earl of sandwich for some warm sandwiches for a late dinner then headed to California Adventure

ryley and bailey went to go ride something so we took the little ones on the carousel

and pretty much right after that brody was asleep! so we went and rode Soarin again (and got a rider switch pass)

after we rode Soarin a couple times it was a little after 10 so we decided to go back to the hotel, our feet were killing us! when we got back to the hotel we took a fun little night walk all around the hotel pool grounds and I made this little video.. it was so pretty out but the video does it no justice!

I had to get a couple pics of our cool headboard and peyton in her snow white nightgown! : )

It truly was ANOTHER perfect day! We had a blast!… Another day full of magical moments and memories!
